Career:
Studied Certificate of Art at Caulfield Institute of Technology, Victoria.
Further studies at Max Casey's School of painting, Melbourne. Freelanced in graphic design for twelve years.
Was an instructor at the Sherbrooke Art Society.
Started painting full time in 1977 through to 1980.
Started exhibiting at Eltham Gallery, in 1978 held her first one man show at Eltham Gallery.
A guest artist in the 1981 "Women Painters" exhibition at the Victorian Artists' Society.

Brighton City Council Award 1976,
Commonwealth Bank Award 1977,
Frankston City Council Award 1977,
Caulfield City Council Award 1977.

Represented:

Corporate and Private collections in Australia,
United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore.
The Commonwealth Bank, Brighton City Council, Frankston City Council and the Caulfield City Council collections.

 



 

 

 

 

A Melbourne based painter, Helen is best known for her talent and expertise as the creative director and owner of Bassett Marketing & Design. With painting as her constant passion, she is now working towards an exhibition in late 2009. Her interest in prints has seen her spend the greater part of this year, exploring the technology of archival print production. Specifically, high resolution printing on canvas, resulting in this unique series.
